Focused fields of ultrashort radially polarized laser pulses having low-order spatiotemporal couplings

We present a detailed study of the fields and propagation characteristics around focus ultrashort radially-polarized laser beams (RPLBs) having low-order spatio-temporal couplings (STCs). The three STCs considered are focusing different frequencies to positions along longitudinal coordinate, one transverse beam waist or Rayleigh range power-law frequency dependence. deemed because they generally linear in frequency. combination vector beam, pulse duration, shows promise for exotic applications dielectric charged particle manipulation potentially other strong-field phenomena. presented all developed standard frequency-domain model where each case involves chromatic term. results unique nature RPLBs compare them linearly polarized cases, opening up opportunities control electric field with additional element polarization.
